Password protection for my private wedding website

Password protecting your wedding RSVP website

You probably don’t want the details of your wedding to be public. That’s why every wedding invitation on Crafted Invite is PIN protected making your wedding website private.

Each of your guests are issued with unique codes – we group guests into households or parties.

How does it make my wedding website private?

When you add a party or household they are automatically allocated a unique 4 digit code. You can then share this them.

They will use this code to log in to their individual invitation.

To protect against malicious activity we block users after 3 invalid attempts. Their access is automatically reinstated after a few minutes.

Can I remove PIN protection?

Each wedding invitation is unique to that party of guests. Information is uploaded by each guest such as whether they’re attending, what meals they would like and if they want any accommodation. Because of this we don’t expose individual invitations publicly.

My guests can’t access their invitation

First of all check that you have shared the correct PIN and that they’re logging into to the correct wedding RSVP system. Then check that their account hasn’t been deleted.

If they’re still having issues please contact us.

Are there any disadvantages?

We believe that you only invite guests to your wedding that are important to you. For this reason we believe that there is no benefit to making your wedding details public on a non-password protected website. The login process for each invitation is super-simple, requiring only a 4 digit PIN.

If you wanted to make your wedding website public, we would suggest one of the many website builders out there.
